Mystery shopper review of access to Patient Participation Groups

Healthwatch Manchester have produced a report about the publics access to Patient Participation Groups.

This report involved contacting all GP practices in Manchester and inquiring about their Patient Participation Groups.

Over a 2 week period, staff and interns at Healthwatch Manchester contacted each practice and collated their findings into a report.

We found that access to Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) needs to improve with a clear method across the board needed to help show people how to join their GPs group.

Moreover, we found that many practices have not restarted since Covid lockdown restrictions were introduced over two years ago and so these groups need to be restarted as soon as possible.
