Healthwatch Manchester 2024-25 Impact Report

Healthwatch Manchester are delighted to publish our 2024-2025 Impact Report.

After a busy year we are incredible excited to share with you the vast array of work our wonderful staff team have completed and the impacts that have come as a result.

We spent time reviewing 83 GP Practice to investigate the offer the Enhanced Access Service (EAS)  through both an online and over the phone investigation. The findings from this work were used by Primary Care Commissioning to inform their planning and design of services and relationship with Manchester GP Practices.

We also conducted a thorough investigation into the accuracy of information regarding defibrillator accessibility in Manchester City Centre, visiting 63 defibrillators in total. Following this, misleading information was removed from the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust website and a more accurate representation of the whereabouts of defibrillators in Manchester is now available.

Our Enter and View visits to both Park House and North View are included in this fantastic report. Two individual reports were produced before a further document combined and compared the results. The report ultimately showed that patients felt there had been a significant increase in their quality of sleep at North View and that there was an overall preference for the environment at North View compared to Park House.

We look forward to another exciting year ahead, hearing from and working with citizens of Manchester.
