Interpreter Needs of Manchester's Deaf Community

To coincide with the International Day of Sign Languages on the 23rd September we are showcasing these answers from a focus group we held last October with people from Manchester Deaf Centre.

The answers highlight a range of issues regarding access to and experience of health care by people who use British Sign Language (BSL) and provides three case studies as examples.

We are currently working with local commissioners to improve BSL services, taking the issues highlighted into consideration.
