Accessible Information Standard Compliance League Table
By law, under the Accessible Information Standard (AIS) 2016, all publicly funded health and social care providers must ensure people are given information about their health and care in the format they can understand, such as large print, Braille, digital text files, and audio files, to mention a few.
The Standard sets out a specific, consistent approach to identifying, recording, flagging, sharing and meeting the information and communication support needs of patients, service users, carers and parents with a disability, impairment or sensory loss.
For a simple explanation of this standard, watch this short NHS England video.
Please note, our report doesn’t mean a Practice is fully compliant or not with the AIS, but it is here to assist the Practice into becoming compliant with this standard and thus is more of an indicator of compliance and of where they can improve.
